FISH

Quick sketch for my book The Boy Who Was Actually An Octopus, a work in progress. There will be lots of fish in it. It's a coming-of-age tale. No, it isn't. It's just a book about a boy who was actually an octopus. Due to be completed late this year

HEY ROBOT

Computer crash devours work. Saddened, I create HEY ROBOT.

audience (work in progress)

I quite enjoy posting works in progress, because it helps me convince myself I'm achieving things and hitting arbitrary milestones. I will also colour this picture one day, but for now it can remain a silly black and white pencil drawing. There will also one day be legs and laps and things visible through the gaps in seats. At present it looks a little silly how people just... stop.

This is an audience for an animation project. If all goes to plan, I will soon animate these people clapping politely. Also: getting shot with lasers (seriously)

i live in the ocean

I said yesterday that today I would post something else related to that cruel mistress the ocean, and I aint no liar. Been flat out trying to finish creating the above man in the elusive 3rd dimension. These attempts have been hampered by the unfortunate fact that I do not know what I am doing.

I'm getting a little frustrated, but overusing italics helps a little to calm my nerves. A little.

work in progress- illustration

"...there is nothing intelligent to say about a massacre. Everybody is supposed to be dead, to never say anything or want anything ever again. Everything is supposed to be very quiet after a massacre, and it always is, except for the birds. And what do the birds say? All there is to say about a massacre, things like Poo-tee-weet?'"

-AHEM-

These are selected out-of-context unpolished early snippets from a Slaughterhouse Five-inspired illustration piece. A work in progress for a CPIT 3rd-year illustration assignment. If it doesn't suck too much I'll post it up here later.

Said the dismembered Nazi to the overzealous illustrator: "You jerk, you completely missed the point of the book."

work in progress- illustration

Work in progress.
A rough drawing for half of a Slaughterhouse Five inspired illustration for course, coloured needlessly because I am very good at procrastinating. This illustration, when finished, will BLOW YOU AWAY. Unfortunately, I rarely finish anything I start.

mancreamcone

Very much a work in progress- modelling this guy in Maya. The cone will eventually grow into a beard, as any good cone will do. Until then, we have man-cone.

3D modelling is hard.

Evil Robot Frontman

This is a robot. It sings, probably in a robot voice. It is for an animation, which I may or may not post here depending on whether it is or isn't any good.
